  • On 11th July 2023, 50th GST Council Meeting was held and in the same meeting decision to send intimations for excess ITC claims in GSTR-3B was taken and GST on online gaming at 28% on full face value is fixed
  • Taxpayers with turnover > Rs.100 Crore need two-factor authentication from 15th July 2023 for e-invoicing and e-way bill system.
  • CBIC issued fresh instructions on online scrutiny which will be applied to FY 2019-20 onwards.
  • Filing facility of GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C for FY 2022-23 now live on government portal.
  • Automated return scrutiny module launched in May 2023 which will be applicable from FY 2019-20 onwards.
  • CBIC notified the 6th phase of e-invoicing.
  • Taxpayers with ₹5 Cr turnover to issue e-invoices from 1st August 2023.
  • The GST department deferred the time limit for reporting old e-invoices by three months.
  • Taxpayers with ≥ Rs.100 Cr turnover to report tax invoices to IRP within 7 days from 1st May 2023.
  • On the 31st March 2023, CGST Notifications came. Through the same notification Amnesty schemes were introduced for late filers of GSTR-4, GSTR-9, GSTR-10, and more.
  • Risk-based biometric Aadhaar authentication for Gujarat notified under the CGST Notifications of the 31st March 2023
  • Extension of limitation period under Section 168A for recovery proceedings was given through the CGST Notifications of the 31st March 2023
  • Extension of composition scheme to e-tailers.
  • Available on GST portal to revoke canceled GSTINs when taxpayers file pending GST returns.
  • On the 4th January 2023, CGST Notification 01/2023 issued to assign more powers to Additional Assistant Directors in DGGI, DGGST, and DG Audit.
